These terms govern your use of Assist Minds. By creating an account, starting an intake, or subscribing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Assist Minds is

Assist Minds connects you with independent, verified experts for guidance on tech support and home engineering questions. Experts provide advice and remote guidance only; they do not perform physical work at your location. Guidance is given in good faith, but outcomes depend on your situation and how the advice is applied. For emergencies (gas, electrical hazards, flooding, or any safety risk), contact local emergency services first and follow all applicable local codes.

Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure.
  • Experts and operations staff use a separate, internal console and never see your password.

How it works: free intake, then membership

  • A free, automated assistant first collects the basics about your issue. This intake is free and does not connect you to a human expert.
  • To connect with a verified human expert you need an active membership (subscription). You may start chatting right away or schedule a session for a later time.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are subscriptions billed through PayPal. A plan may begin with an introductory trial period and then renews automatically on a recurring (for example monthly) basis. The exact trial terms, price, and renewal amount are shown to you before you subscribe and again at checkout, and you authorize those charges when you confirm.
  • Depending on the plan, expert chat may be unlimited (until your issue is resolved) or limited to a set amount of time per chat within a rolling 24-hour window. Your plan's details are shown before you subscribe.
  • Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from My Account; you keep access until the end of the current billing period and are not charged again after that.
  • Your expert may occasionally offer an optional, one-time service for advanced help (for example a deeper hands-on session or a written plan). These are clearly priced and shown to you before you approve, and are charged once. They do not change your subscription.

Scheduled sessions

If you book a session for a later time, your request is held until that time and then made available to experts. We aim to connect you promptly at your scheduled time, but availability is not guaranteed for any specific minute.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by PayPal. We never receive or store your full card details. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

  • Use the service only for lawful purposes and follow local codes for any work you carry out.
  • Do not abuse, harass, threaten, or attempt to defraud experts or staff.
  • Do not attempt to access other customers' conversations, accounts, or data.
  • Do not probe, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service, its APIs, or its security controls.

Disclaimers and liability

Expert guidance is informational and does not replace a licensed professional where one is required. The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Assist Minds is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of expert guidance. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Privacy

Your use of the service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and the rights you have over your data.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the product. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
